    Father’s Day Cruise Bowen Island Join us June 16-18 for our annual Fathers Day Cruise! Everyone is welcome, by land or sea. Tickets are $25 per person for full weekend. For landlubbers, $15 to join us on Saturday via Bowen Island Ferry – last Ferry at 10:30PM so time to join for dinner! In these “in person classroom sessions” (not available online) this course will equip you with the knowledge required to identify and pre-empt onboard problems, carry out specialized tasks and tackle both short-term troubleshooting as well as long-term boat care. It features practical information and handy tips suitable for both new and existing boat owners. Leveraging subject matter experts (SMEs) and local industry knowledge this course will help you manage owning, maintaining and using your own boat

    Although a VHF is not mandatory equipment in a pleasure craft, it is arguably one piece of equipment that could save your boat and possibly your life in an emergency situation. The Maritime Radio course teaches emergency radio procedures and everyday operating techniques. Learn all about the uses of marine radios, choice of frequencies, operation, phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases, as well as Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System, (GMDSS). All mariners, including recreational boaters, will want to take advantage of the many features and capabilities of this innovative form of “automatic” radio. Secure your lifeline.
