Become a Proctor
The proctors responsibilities are to help students with their questions and present sections if you feel comfortable to do so.
To be a proctor you need to have your PCOC and have completed Boating 2 and 3. There are a multitude of befifits to being a proctor but being a part of the boating community has to be one of the best.

PRIVATE COURSES OFFERED
Education nights held at each of the north shore yacht clubs twice a year.
BOATING 2 BOATING 3 COMBINED
The CanBoat North Shore offers Boating 2 and Boating 3 in a combined course
MARITIME RADIO DSC: ROC(M)
Maritime Radio course teaches emergency radio procedures and everyday operating techniques.
NEAR SHORE MARINE NAVIGATION
BOATING 4: This is a challenging course where boat deviation is included in navigational calculations.
BOATING BASICS (PCOC)
BOATING 1: All operators of motorized pleasure craft are required to show proof of operator competency.
BOAT & ENGINE MAINTENANCE
From spark plugs to bottom paint, this course covers all the basics for "do it yourself” boaters.

1 event,In Classroom Students - Students will meet in a classroom 1 evening per week for the duration of the course. Course length varies depending on the course from 5 evenings to 12 evenings. Printed or Ebook course material will be distributed to the students either on the first night or prior to the start of the course. Online Students: Course material is available online 24/7. This is a cohort-based format with a specific start and end date. You will take this course with a specific group of fellow students. There will be an online meeting one evening per week to answer questions that students may have. You may also have one on one meetings with a local tutor to cover topics that are difficult to teach online. |
